As I write this, I am happy to report that the Mt Lofty Ranges survived its first ‘catastrophic’-rated day with only a couple of serious fires breaking out that were admirably contained by CFS crews. What it meant for Chapter Two Books was that we were closed yesterday – unfortunately we must sometimes accept that our beautiful Adelaide Hills are not the best place to be (this is, of course, on very rare occasions). We were back in action today (in the rain!! can you believe this mad weather?) and have just received some great new fiction. So come on into Stirling, grab some gems from our wonderful selection of second-hand books and find a shady tree – rumour has it the weather over the next week or so is going to be ideal!
