We’re always getting new stuff in - here’s what’s come in recently:
1ST EDITION FICTION: Ian McEwan, Julian Barnes (a couple signed copies), Michael Crichton plus A.E. Van Vogt, Samuel Delany & 1st UK editions of Gods of Mars & Chessmen of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs and the highly-collectible Gateway by Frederick Pohl
CLASSICS: Plenty more of those authors adored for decades (some centuries) - Dickens, Tolstoy, Bronte(s), Twain… and the list goes on.
MISC: Navigation Journals (aviation & maritime) - both Australian and UK - from the collection of J.E.Clegg, influential (indeed, evolutionary) and integral member of the Defence Department’s research team who contributed to multiple journal articles. Consecutive issues from 1959-1982: if it’s your area, this is once-in-a-lifetime stuff.
TEEN: Oda Hirsch & Phillip Pullman have hit the shelves in a big way
TRAVEL: From Morocco to Marakesh, Tuscany to Tangiers and Borneo to Beirut, with hundreds of destinations, stories and histories in between. Some truly fantastic titles to suit future travellers or remind you of past experiences.
MODERN FICTION: Whole stack of the titles from the authors; think lovely bones, blind assassin, disgrace, memory-keeper’s daughter, mccall smith, de bernieres, eucalyptus, curious incident of the dog, ghost road, and so many more - all in mint condition so will not last!
CLASSICS: From a modern perspective - just acquired one of the best collections of Nicholas Monsarrat in the country; Fifteen first editions in excellent condition with the pick of the bunch being ‘The Tribe That Lost Its Head’ from 1956 (also have sequel ‘Richer Than All His Tribe’) and the 2 vol set of ‘The Master Mariner’.

KIDDIES: Oodles!! Especially classics (think Ms Blyton, Anne of Green Gables and more Enid Blyton) and Disney faves. There’s even - and this shows my age - a vintage Mr Squiggle book. Love it! SPORT: Several items including Mountain Biking and Windsurfing
